Today’s member spotlight is on Ashley Grant. Ashley is a business blogging coach, a blogger and a ghost writer. She currently resides in Lutz with her husband Jeremy and their two furbabies Baileys and Kahlua. However, if you asked her where she lives, she would probably say on the internet because you can pretty much always find her online.
What do you do in your business? At the core of my business I’m a blogger. I write for myself and I write for others. Some days I’ll get the credit with my own byline, but some of my work goes out under the names of my ghostwriting clients. I have taught classes on blogging, and have been a coach for a couple of bloggers, and I look forward to doing a lot more of that throughout 2018 and beyond.
How long have you been working in your business? I’ve been a writer since October 2007, a blogger since 2009, and a paid “problogger” since 2011.
Why do you love Charity Chics? My favorite thing about Charity Chics is the women who make up the group. I’ve never met people who care about their community and giving back more than these women. They are strong, resilient, and just amazing human beings to be around. I can say without a doubt, that I have learned something from each and every one of them, and I’m a better person for having known all of them. I’m so incredibly grateful to know them all!
What is your favorite way to give back? Time. Time is one thing that is finite, and for that reason it sometimes feels more valuable to me than money.
Why do you think people should be charitable? Because when people work together towards a common goal, amazing things can happen. As individuals we can only do so much, but when we all combine our efforts – that is when the magic is achieved!
What is your favorite quote? I have two actually –
“The stuff you own, ends up owning you.” – Brad Pitt as his character Tyler Durden in the movie Fight Club I love this quote because it always reminds me that people and experiences are so much more important than things.
“Don’t take life too seriously, you never get out alive.” – Ryan Reynolds as his character in the movie of the same name Van Wilder This quote has always been important to me because it’s an important reminder that although life can get heavy, you have to have as much fun as possible while you can. Remember to laugh and love, and well, not take things too seriously.
Where can we find you on social media? Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Google Plus, LinkedIn and Youtube. I told you guys I lived on the internet! haha! I also have a Twitter and Facebook where I share freebies in the Tampa Bay area.
Is there anything you want to add that others might not know? At the time of this writing, I am a brand ambassador for Citrus Magic solid air fresheners, sprays and candles. You can learn more about that here, and get some of the amazing products here. I hope to do several more brand ambassadorships with this company and others in the future. I just love spreading the word about awesome products!
How awesome is Ashley?
Hopefully, you think she is pretty awesome. Stay tuned for future Charity Chic member spotlights, and if you know someone that would be perfect for our group, please share our website with them!
